I decided to take a day trip to Mont. St. Michel a small island off the coast of Normandy, France. It has been a monestary since the 8th century and has had military uses at various occasions.
This is from our first approach to Mont St. Michel,
The interior has a single road that is full of tourists and tourist shops, apparently this is not that crowded since it is October,
The monestary itself was impressive and had amazing views of the surrounding country,
In the monestary they were having a mass when I arrived, they sang for the first 30 minutes of the service, it was very lovely,
I took a tour here since taking public transportation would have been really difficult, but the tour droppd us off right at the entrance to the island, the most impressice part was the approach, so I walked around 1 km off the island and then back. Its impressive how it just keeps getting bigger in your field of vision as you approach,
I have never been but it makes want to go even more. Like the 8th pic from the top, nice shadow.
