Pompeii, Day 32

My first day trip from Sorrento was to Pompeii, I have been to Pompeii years ago but the ruins there are so amazing I wanted to go back for a second time. The site of Pompeii is just so large you can stroll down a long avenue from a 2000 year old roman city and get lost a bit.

I down recall the restaurant from the previous time I was there, after this picture I quickly left this area,

Here are some pictures of the ruins, I love the long sections that are ruins for almost a km.

 

I specifically came to Pompeii at the end of October because the site is open after sunset, so you can wander around the ruins in the dark. This was rather creepy, not only because of the ruins but also the roaming stray dogs and a bird that almost flew into me. It is nice that I also had a lovely sunset to end of my day in pompeii,
