Sorrento, Day 31 & 34

After Paris I left France and took a night train down to Italy (and then 2 more trains) and ended off in Sorrento, a coastal town near Naples. I stayed in Sorrento for 5 nights but spent the other days visiting Pompeii, Capri and Herculaneum. The town itself is nice but pretty touristy, actually the first 2 days I was there were incredibly touristy and then it was not that bad.

The port for Sorrento and the surrounding area,

A few views from the town, first is the twisting road down to the port,

Some old stone building in a ravine or something completely below the level of the town,

I went down to the port twice at sunset, the first sunset was pretty boring the second one was much nicer,

I was wandering around at night and walked by this nice little church that was open and completely empty, it was nice to just sit there for a bit, it was rather peaceful,
