After Belgium I moved on to Paris, France. I really like Paris, it is such a lovely city, you can just wander the streets all day and have a great time. I was surprised that even in late October it was still crowded with tourists and there were still long lines for some of the bigger sites.
This is the first picture I took in Paris,
The first thing I did was go to Notre Dame, it was only a 5 minute walk from my hostel,
This is from the early morning days later,
This is the rose window in Notre Dame,
I went to the top of Notre Dame on a really nice morning and had some great views of Paris,
This was my first night in Paris and I think that is an awesome view,
A few pictures of me wandering the Seine,
The Louvre,
The Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Elysees,
The Eiffel Tower,
Sacre Coeur,
Some views from the top of the Arc de Triomphe at sunset,
Views from the Eiffel Tower at sunset, the first picture is actually of the lines to get into the Eiffel Tower,
Note the shadow of the Eiffel Tower in this picture,
The Eiffel Tower has a post office in one of the legs,
I went into the Gap, but I did not get Le T-Shirt,
These are some pictures from the Louvre, this is the picture opposite the Mona Lisa, it is enormous.
Here is the Mona Lisa, you may see it past the wall of tourists,
The Louvre itself was a palace, the building is beautiful if you look around while you are there,
I like these pictures with pictures in them,
This is a statue by Michelangelo,
The Code of Hammurabi,
A church in Paris, I forget the name of it,
The sunset from the train station as I left Paris
I've just read about three books on Paris in the past few weeks.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pix! They're pretty astounding. I desperately want to go now.
Gorgeous views, nice weather, missing a picture or two of french food though. Really liked the sunset ones.
