Amalfi, Salerno and Maiori, Day 38

After my day hike I decided to take the next day a little bit easier, so I took the bus to Salerno at the other end of Amalfi coast and back. The ride was very impressive, the coastline is beauty, I understand why people talk so much about the Amalfi coast. The coast is very irregular and every turn shows a little more of the coast with houses, terraced gardens and cliffs.

The next picture demonstates a bit of the twisting route the bus took,

The Amalfi Coast,

I have 1 picture of Salerno before turning around and heading back toward Positano,

I stopped in Maiori for about an hour since it had a nice and long walk along the water, I really liked looking at the water since it was so green there,

Leaving Maiori,

I stopped in Amalfi for about 2 hours and just stood at 2 different points along the water and enjoyed the view for most of the time I was there,

It was a fairly overcast day for this trip but the sun came out for about 1 hour and there was a nice sunset for the end of my trip back to Positano,

Montepertuso, Nocelle and Praiano, Day 37

I took a day hike out of Positano and walked along a path known as,

The day was lovely and the hike was amazing, it was around 4-5 hours but that was with many stops to look around and enjoy all the views,

Positano,

Montepertuso for the next 3 pictures,

Goats defying gravity,

Postiano from pretty far away,

I found myself on a goat path at one point, there are goats in front of me, behind me and basically all around me,

It is amazing how they build on such rocky terrain, the next few pictures might be my favorite of this hike,

And after a long day hike I enjoyed the sunset in Positano from the terrace of my hostel,

Positano, Day 36, 39 & 40

After leaving Sorrento I went to Positano on the Amalfi coast. Positano is a beautiful town and has amazing views of the Amalfi coast.I stayed in Positano for 2 extra days since the town was lovely, the hostel was nice and it rained for a bit so I did not feel like traveling.

These first pictures are taken on my bus on the way to Positano,

These next pictures are either of Positano or at least taken in Positano,

The sunset that day was really nice and I could watch as the sunlight shifted across the Amalfi coast,

I find this view interesting, it is literally a mountain of houses,

Even the days where it rained would changed from completely cloudy to lovely and partly cloudy in only an hour or so, this first picture is a view from my hostel,

The beach was lovely but it was 740 steps from the shore to my hostel,

Some more lovely sunset views,

The largest church in Positano,

I found this on the beach one day,

The stairways that cross the entire city,

A nighttime view of Positano,

Views from the same position, you can really see how the whole town is built on a hill,
