Asahikawa, Day 376

While at my hostel in Tokyo a film crew was going around interviewing people in the lobby. When they asked me what I was going on doing in Japan, I told them about my plan to travel north and see the leaves changing color in Hokkaido. This would turn out to be exactly what they wanted to include in a documentary about tourism in Japan. So I would go to northern Japan with a film crew.

Most of this day would be spent traveling north on 3 trains and then by car. My first shinkansen or bullet train,

Mt. Fuji, Day 373

From Tokyo I took a day trip to go to Mt. Fuji. It was too late in the season to hike to the peak and even though it was a lovely day large parts of the mountain were lost in the clouds. I still enjoyed the views of the country from the areas I managed to reach.
