From Jaisalmer I took a 4 day camel safari in the surrounding Thar Desert. I enjoyed doing this longer trip because I was able to get used to riding a camel and really enjoy the quiet of the desert by the 3rd and 4th days.
Some desert children watching our camel group pass, I am proud that I was able to get this picture while riding my camel,
An oasis in the desert,
A small village,
Our lunch break the 1st day,
Some nice traveling silhouettes,
Sand dunes,
Sunsets,
The first night of the trip was New Years Eve, so all the safari groups came together for a big dinner,
Our camel group,
One of many groups of sheep and goats we saw during the trip,
Our desert guide on his cellphone,
The sand was so incredibly fine, it fell in cascades when disturbed,
Me relaxing on the sand dunes,
A smaller campfire for our second night in the desert,
More pictures of the desert,
Some young shepherds joining us for lunch,
Our lunch campsite on the last day,
Me on my camel at the end of the camel safari,

ReplyDeleteAlso, good to know that you still exist on the physical plane.
Bruce looked at your pictures, and he is very glad that you haven't grown some scruffy ass hipster traveler's beard.
ReplyDeleteI haven't shown them to Georgia yet, but I'm sure she'll be quite impressed with your elephant picture, the cows and the camel. She will also want to know when you're going to post pictures of monkeys again.
Then she'll say something completely cute, charming and unpredictable. That's why I keep her around.
