Jaisalmer is a city at the far west of India, it is known as The Golden city because of the yellow sandstone used to make most of the buildings. I was not planning on staying in Jaisalmer as long as I did but I was waiting to find a group of people doing a 4 day camel safari in the desert so I could join them. I took 2 days and just sat around my hotel and relaxed.
The trip to Jaisalmer, the first time I was able to get a picture of people riding on top of a bus,
The sunset and city fort on the day of my arrival in Jaisalmer,
I spent Christmas in Jaisalmer and was able to get to a Christian church in town,
The Maharaja's Palace,
Views of the city,
Views of the fort,
Chickens eating from the open sewage drains,
Views of the fort from my hotel,
A selection of toilets,
Some pictures of the Havelis, or private mansons, in the city,
The Gadi Sagar,
A cow eating a whole cardboard box,
A merchant selling cloths right next to a electrical transformer,
Cenotaphs a short distance from Jaisalmer,
Jain Temples within the Jaisalmer fort,
A very impressive carved stone piece,
Some dogs sleeping under/next to an old scooter,
The market street,
An old fashion air conditioner, it used water evaporation on the reed screen to cool the air,
