Hi everyone, here beings my travel blog as I hopefully make my way around the world. I was planning on spending somewhere from 6-12 months on this trip, but I really dont have many concrete plans and will make things up as I go. I am also not sure how often I will actually update this blog either, but I will attempt to include short updates a few times a week.
To add some background to this whole thing I will mention that I have loved travel since my first trip overseas to Germany during a 2 month study abroad in college. Since then I have spent most of my available time and money on trips to Europe. I was inspired by the Australians I met during my travels who would spend years backpacking around the world. It has been my goal for for awhile to take a long trip that lasts for months or even years and now I finally get to do it.
I am starting off this journey with 2 months in Europe beginning in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and ending in Rome, Italy. After that I will be flying to Mumbai, India and staying for an undetermined amount of time.
By the way, buying one-way airplane tickets is really awesome, "I never saved anything for the way back."
